Mark is Director, Engagement and International in the School of Arts and Humanities where he has focused on business growth and international partnerships for the School of Arts and Humanities. This has involved supporting the School’s development of joint offshore teaching programs in China, the expansion of SAH’s courses into new regions such as Portsmouth and Sri Lanka and developing agreements and articulations across the full range of SAH’s disciplines. Mark has led inbound and outbound study abroad activities for the School including managing the relationship with Tokyo City University for their inbound TAP program. In over 20 years at ECU, he has undertaken a range of leadership roles in the School and University, including interim director of CLT, Associate Dean Teaching and Learning and was chair of ECU’s Academic Board, completing a maximum term in 2021. Mark has a PhD in Interactive Multimedia and has been actively involved in the field of digital design, computer education, games and learning technologies since 1994.
